Goals: The main goal of the project is to strengthen the civic participation in the decision making process on local and national level.

The project sets two specific objectives:

1.      To elaborate and test a system for civic participation in the decision making process on local level.

2.      To sustain the efforts of the community of civil organizations in Bulgaria in recognizing and implementing the Standards for Public Consultations, adopted by the Council of Ministers

 

Main activities:

1.      Elaboration of legal framework for civic participation in the decision making process on local level.

2.      Improvement of the capacity of the civil society organizations in taking part in the decision making process on local level.

3.      Testing the practical models for Public Consultations Standards on local level.

4.      Elaboration of proposal and lobbying toward the 41st National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria for adopting amendments in the Law for Normative Acts, Law for direct participation of citizens in government and Law for the Local Government and the Local Administration

5.      Final conference “Civic Participation in the decision making process on local and national level”
